Functions of Radio Division

Radio Division deals with ITU-R related activities such as radio frequency spectrum management and Licensing matters. The main duties are as follows:
(a) Cooperating with international organization such as ITU and APT
(b) Issuing wireless station licenses and collecting fees.
(c) Issuing international radio operator certificates.
(d) Prescribing radio frequency and supervising its usage.
(e) Amending and drafting rules and regulations if necessary

Except amateur station license, model control license and press receiving license, all other types and classes of wireless station licenses shall be charged at the following rates:-

Royalty fee depends on the equipment whether HF (600 kyats) or not (230 kyats)
Law and Licensing

Fixed - Mainly government departments use High Frequency Transceivers and, according to the limitation of CPSWC, they should not be more than 25 Watt. Fixed License Form

Ship - Due to country's economic objectives, ship stations license are issued according to decisions. Ship Station License Form

Aircraft - Due to country 's economic objectives, aircraft stations licence are issued according. Aircraft station licence Form

Cordless - Short-ranged cordless licenses were issued with clearance from custom detainees until 1998 but now cordless are no longer issued licence and use of short range cordless are illegal . And so the process is terminated by decisions. Long-ranged cordless license is issued by Ministry's decision. Cordless License Form
